Official Rules and Regulations
- By registering for this scavenger hunt, participants may receive informational emails and communications from Clean Energy Alliance (CEA) related to programs, services, and energy choices. Participants may opt out of communications at any time. Participants acknowledge that all information provided to CEA in connection with this giveaway is a public record and subject to disclosure under the California Public Records Act.
- Participants who sign up between 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time on January 29, 2026 and 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on March 24, 2026 (“Giveaway Period”) will be eligible to receive tickets on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.
- Eligible participants who successfully complete the CEA website scavenger hunt during the Ticket Distribution Period will be awarded tickets in the order in which qualifying entries are received during the Ticket Distribution Period. Once all available tickets have been distributed, no additional tickets will be awarded. CEA will notify recipients by email after eligibility is verified. If a participant is determined to be ineligible or disqualified, the ticket will be awarded to the next eligible participant in the order received.
- Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
- The approximate value of the ticket is based on face value of the event and will vary by the event selected by the participant.
- Tickets are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or any other items of value.
- Participants must be a CEA customer, or reside within CEA service territory. Ticket recipients will be asked to provide their name and service address for customer verification purposes.
- Only participants who successfully complete the CEA website scavenger hunt and submit a qualifying entry will be eligible to receive tickets. Participants shall not submit duplicate entries.
- Participants may only receive tickets once during the Giveaway Period.
- CEA reserves the right to disqualify participants who fail to follow these Rules and Regulations or who make any misrepresentations related to participation in the Ticket Distribution or redemption of the tickets.
- CEA reserves the right to cancel the giveaway at any time before the expiration of the Giveaway Period.
- By participating in the Ticket Distribution, each participant:
(i) represents that they are eligible to participate as provided in these Rules and Regulations; and
(ii) fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Rules and Regulations and the decisions of CEA, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this Ticket Distribution. - All tickets are provided and accepted “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, and CEA hereby disclaims all such warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and/or non-infringement.
- Officials and employees of the following entities and their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, or spouse, regardless of where they live, or persons living in the same household, whether related or not) are not eligible to participate: CEA, any of its member agencies, and any other entity engaged in the development, production, execution, administration, or distribution of this Ticket Distribution, including entities supplying the tickets.
- Availability of tickets is limited and subject to the total number of eligible entries received before tickets are fully distributed.
- Ticket recipients are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with the tickets, if any.
- In compliance with the California Fair Political Practices Commission, CEA will file and publish on our website a publicly available Form 802 for all participants selected and confirmed for the ticket giveaway. This form will include participants’ names who received tickets as well as the cash value of the tickets.
- This Ticket Distribution is conducted as part of CEA’s public purposes and mission to promote customer education, participation, retention and awareness of clean energy programs.
- By participating in this Ticket Distribution, participants agree to release and hold harmless CEA, its member agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, managers, employees, agents, representatives, consultants, and legal advisors (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to participation in the Ticket Distribution or receipt, redemption, or use of any ticket or attendance at the event.
