Although Clean Energy Alliance (CEA) is our customers’ new power provider, bills will continue to come from San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E).
CEA now buys power directly from energy suppliers, but SDG&E will continue to deliver power to homes and handle the billing. That means customers will continue to receive one electricity bill each month. Only a couple of line items on the bill will change:
- When homes or businesses begin service with CEA, the line item for power generation on their SDG&E bill will be replaced with a CEA charge.
- SDG&E will stop charging customers for generation but will continue to charge for energy delivery services (“transmission and distribution”) and regulatory fees.
View the sample bill below for a breakdown of the charges.
