Clean Energy Alliance (CEA) is accepting applications from residents to join the Community Advisory Committee (CAC). The CAC has seven open positions, one spot per member city, with applications open through Monday, December 22.

The CAC consists of two dedicated representatives from each member city who serve as a vital link between the community and the Board of Directors. Members provide feedback on CEA programs, champion public engagement and help shape the organization’s direction.

“Joining the CAC gives residents a direct voice in clean energy initiatives that impact their community,” said CEA CEO Greg Wade.

CAC members contribute to the development of clean energy programs, policies and outreach strategies. They also weigh in on local sustainability efforts and provide rate-setting recommendations, ensuring that community perspectives inform key decisions affecting CEA’s member cities.

Members serve two-year terms with no term limits, allowing the committee to retain valuable expertise over time. Each year, the CAC selects a Chair from within the committee to deliver regular updates to the CEA Board, maintaining strong communication between residents and decision-makers.

The CEA Board will review applications and make appointments at the January 29, 2026, Board of Directors meeting. Interested residents can find more information and download the application from the CAC webpage. Completed applications should be emailed to clerk@thecleanenergyalliance.org.

About Clean Energy Alliance

Clean Energy Alliance (CEA) is a locally controlled, not-for-profit power provider serving over 255,000 customer accounts in the cities of Carlsbad, Del Mar, Escondido, Oceanside, San Marcos, Solana Beach and Vista, with a focus on clean energy, sustainability, competitive rates and community reinvestment. CEA follows a community choice aggregation (CCA) model that allows local governments to purchase power to meet their community’s electricity needs, offering an alternative to investor-owned utilities’ bundled rate service.
